AABO-IDEAL’s Swedish expert center

Their know-how is strengthening the whole group

Since the Swedish company Greiff Industrimiljö AB a few years back became a part of AABO-IDEAL Group, the collaboration has grown and become stronger on all parameters. AABO-IDEAL Greiff, as the Swedish company is now called, is the strong expert center within wet painting and air handling in the group.

– One of the first challenges after the merger was to integrate the technical solutions of the two companies, says David Sjölin, Head of Engineering at AABO-IDEAL Group.

– We started by defining the components of the lines, and then analyzed where they differed from each other. In this way, we were able to find the best solutions from both companies and combine them into a common standard, David Sjölin explains.

As a result, the AABO-IDEAL Group offers its customers the best of both worlds, especially when it comes to energy-saving and efficient solutions.

Service as a strategic area

The probably biggest strategic change since the merger is the increased focus on service and after sales, not just in Sweden but in the entire AABO-IDEAL Group.

– The change started with a reorganization of the service department, where the focus was shifted from being reactive to being proactive, explains Niels Bak Rasmussen, Head of Service & After Sales at AABO-IDEAL Group.

– Today, we have far more service technicians and work closer to our customers, and we therefore also play a greater role in our customer relationship after the plant has been delivered, says Niels Bak Rasmussen.

This venture has also meant that the company now offers more specialized services, such as energy analyses and optimization of older AABO-IDEAL lines.

Global partner with local presence

In recent years, the AABO-IDEAL Group has expanded internationally, and now has subsidiaries with sales and service in Sweden, Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany and Mexico. In the rest of the world, the company is represented by skilled agents, with whom they have worked for many years.

– We have always been careful to be close to our customers. It is important that they feel we are there for them, both in terms of project implementation, installation and maintenance, says Peter Oxfeldt Røge, CSO at AABO-IDEAL Group.

Having an expert center within wet painting and air handling located in Sweden has not only strengthened the company’s position on the Swedish market, but also the entire group, where support plays a large role in the strategy.

– We have experienced how important it is to have a local presence, not just to be able to offer faster service, but to a large extent also to be able to create long-term relationships with our customers, says Peter Oxfeldt Røge.

– Our vision is to continue to be a reliable global partner with a local presence for our customers, and offer them durable and energy-saving solutions, both when it comes to new installation and service and after sales, Peter Oxfeldt Røge concludes.
