AABO-IDEAL Mexico and the Danish Embassy in collaboration on workshops regarding sustainability
In Mexico there is a groving interest in the topic of sustainability, and with this starting point, AABO-IDEAL Mexico and the Danish Embassy in Mexico entered into a collaboration to hold workshops regarding sustainability in painting lines.
The event stretched over 3 consecutive days spread over 3 different cities: Queretaro, Mexico City and Monterrey. Prominent suppliers from the industry presented presentations on powder coating, e-coat, wet paint and chemicals for pre-treatment – all with a focus on the need for a more sustainable painting process. Government agencies in sustainability and carbon footprint reduction also participated in every city, sharing their programs and incentives.
Joaquin Garcia, Managing Director in Mexico, and Filip Fousek, Regional Sales Manager, presented the GO GREENER concept which is AABO-IDEAL’s environmentally friendly solutions and an integrated initiative helping our customers to reduce their CO2 emissions.
In all 3 cities, our workshops were well attended and the guests were very positive about the event and the need to increase sustainable efforts in Mexico. According to many guests and participants alike, this was the first time that sustainability was presented in connection with the surface treatment industry.
